Building Guardian: Where We Stand and What's Next

Our small team in Michigan has been quietly working on something we're really proud of: Guardian.
Guardian is our upcoming lightweight app built to protect the things that matter most—your data, your privacy, and your daily peace—without weighing down your device. True to what GreyNOC stands for, it's lean software with maximum power. Fast, efficient, no bloat, and powered by today's technology. We focused on the essentials so it runs smoothly in the background and stays out of your way until you need it.
We created Guardian because the security tools out there are often too heavy. They slow things down, eat battery, and pile on features nobody asked for. We wanted something different: simple, reliable protection that actually feels helpful instead of intrusive. Real-time threat detection, smart encryption, lightweight monitoring—all designed to work well even on older hardware.
Here's where things stand right now: The core engine is solid and handling our internal tests really well. The interface is in the final stages of cleanup—we're keeping it straightforward and easy to use. It works across desktop and mobile without issues. A handful of early testers have been giving great feedback. They say things like, "It just runs quietly in the background and I barely notice it—that's exactly what I wanted."
We're aiming for a release in mid to late summer, likely July or August. We're staying focused to meet that timeline without rushing or cutting corners. This is real progress, not just talk.
